...

I think I'm over Xanga.

My life, recently, in pictures.

It's been a whirlwind six weeks or so.

The mad rush of spring kicked off with Tulip Time in Holland. We had our best-ever arrival time for the Muziekparade, only showing up about 15 minutes late this year.

In a highlight of the year and answer to prayer, Christian graduated with his Master's in Educational Ministry...with his best GPA ever in school...

I played the part of the proud wife. See how I color-coordinated without even trying? Yes, I'm that good.

Next, my good friend from high school got married. This is the ONE person we never thought would get married. She looked adorable.

Friends since high school...

Later that same weekend we celebrated XN's birthday by going to Saugatuck for the film festival. The chain ferry there celebrated by closing right before we wanted to ride it.

Then we hit the road! Jumped in the car and headed east to Washington, D.C. where we played the part of American tourists quite well. And walked. A lot.

There, we discovered that I am worth about $1.55 million in shredded hundred-dollar bills. I am choosing to take the annual payment instead of the lump-sum option.

We DID get to relax on vacation, too. Headed down to Virginia Beach where we swam with the dolphins...literally...

...and had a great time reconnecting with old friends who live there now.
I mean, um, this isn't us. I don't know who these people are. Aren't you relieved? They look to be a bit off, if you ask me.

On Wednesday, Christian and I celebrated four years of marriage. I don't have any pictures from that. But imagine us going out to dinner and then to a Whitecaps game, and you'll get the idea. Four years. Wow. I love him.

I'm tired.
Fortunately, I get Tuesday off. Maybe I'll even get to do something fun.

Not just twice illustrious, but thrice.

We receive obituaries every day, so it's become commonplace to read them and see the same wording, over and over.

This morning, however, I came across the following:

"[Name] was very active in the Masonic Order, Master of Lovell Moore Lodge #182, Mason of the year for 1983, High Priest R.A.M. 1985-86, 1995-96, inducted into order of High Priesthood, Commander of Knights Templar #22, Thrice Illustrious Master of R.S.M. #54, Receive Order of the Silver Trowel, Worthy Patron of Mizpah #88, member of Bethesda White Shrine, President of Muskegon Shrine Club and received the Knight York Cross of Honor."

Seriously, what an awesome obituary. Thrice Illustrious Master? Worthy Patron of Mizpah? High Priest?
I totally want my obit to be as grandiose-sounding. I need to start coming up with equally-awesome titles to dub myself.
